An example of what your coach tracks.
Your coach
After every game you hear what happened.
After each game your coach says what went well, what to work on and what to do next. It uses short sentences and plain words, matched to your level.
Your games stay on your iPhone. On newer iPhones your coach also writes in its own words.
Your queen went on an adventure and left f2 alone.
Every champion has lost a game. Here's one thing to try.
Made for your level
The plan changes as you improve.
A new player gets one habit to build. A stronger player gets sharper targets.
As you grow you can hire a better coach, and a better coach sees more.
- If you're new
No hanging pieces in 3 games in a row.
- If you're improving
Make at most one bad move a game over your next 5 games.
- If you're advanced
Win 3 of 5 games with the Caro-Kann.
Examples of coach goals.

The world around it
Your coach sends you into a full chess career.
You make a player and hire a coach. Then you play tournaments, street games in New York and the legends, and try to win the Crown.
Tournaments
Tournaments pay in Crowns.
You pick an event in the Tournament Hall and play the bracket. The winner takes the prize in Crowns, the money of MChess.

Every pawn dreams of a crown.
There are no ads and no account. Your titles cannot be bought.
Questions
How does the coach know how I play?
It reads every game you finish. After a few games it knows which kinds of mistakes you make and how often, and it keeps learning as you play. All of it happens on your iPhone.
Do I need to be good at chess?
No. Your first game sets your rating, and then you face rivals at your level. Your coach explains things in plain words. If you know how the pieces move, you can start.
Is it free?
MChess is free to download and has no ads. The whole chess career is free, and so are your coach's notes, your weekly plan and your skill tree. An optional subscription, MChess Gold, adds deeper coaching across your games and every Academy course. It never sells rating, titles or fans. Prices appear on the App Store page.
Does my data leave my iPhone?
No. Your games, your skill tree and your coach all stay on your iPhone. The app has no account, no ads and no tracking. Read the full privacy policy.
Are the titles real?
Crown titles follow the rules of real chess titles: a peak rating, plus norms for the master titles. They're earned in MChess and yours for life, but they aren't official chess titles.
What are Crowns?
Crowns are the money you win at the board. You spend them on coaches, courses and cosmetics. You can also buy Crowns, but Crowns never buy rating, fans or titles.
Does it need internet?
No. You can play on a plane or on a subway.
Can I play online against friends?
Not online. MChess is a single-player career. More than 200 rival characters and 18 legendary Kings and Queens live inside the game.
Android? iPad?
